Coca‑Cola has announced the launch of the globally successful, premium iced tea brand Fuzetea in Ireland – an exciting fusion of the fruit flavours, botanicals and tea in two low sugar variants.

Launched with an investment of €500,000 including significant outdoor and online media promotion the expansion of Fuzetea into new markets demonstrates our strategy to move quickly to offer consumers more choice, by introducing a succession of great tasting new category drinks.

Fuzetea is a unique fusion of tea extracts, fruit flavours and botanicals which deliver a fresh, contemporary taste, offering a refreshing alternative within the iced tea category. It initially launched in 2012 in 14 international markets and saw accelerated growth to billion-dollar status in less than three years.

Two new blends are now available on the Irish market: Fuzetea Peach with a touch of hisbiscus and Fuzetea Lemon with Lemongrass.

The tea extracts in Fuzetea come from 100% sustainably sourced tea leaves. Fuzetea is also reduced in calories, and is sweetened with natural sugar and stevia extract in response to consumers’ increasing demands for different products.

We’re moving quickly to deliver great tasting products that consumers love, and the launch of Fuzetea across the island of Ireland is a fantastic opportunity for our business to provide new, more sophisticated flavours to more people in more places. Martina Lovetinska, Head of Customer Marketing

“The ready-to-drink tea category is a fast-growing segment and the time is right for us to broaden the reach of our drinks with this new offering, working with our retail and wider partners to take advantage of this significant opportunity for growth.

“With Fuzetea, our customer and consumers will get something special; a  unique blend of fruit flavours, botanicals and tea in one delicious low-calorie drink. With substantial investment planned to establish Fuzetea across the island of Ireland market, I’m confident it will become a firm favourite among loyal iced tea drinkers and newcomers alike,” Martina concludes.
