What I enjoy most about working in Coca-Cola HBC is the feeling of being a part of something innovative and exciting. The company never sleeps! 

I began my journey in Coca-Cola HBC 17 years ago as a Business Developer in the Convenience channel. Each new step in my career has been a learning experience and I truly believe that the company is just as committed to my development now as it was when I first began.

I do not have a typical Sales background having studied Computer Science in college. My love for working with people compelled me to apply for the role as a Business Developer. Joining Coca-Cola HBC, my intention was to stay short term to get a taste of what a Sales role can entail.  However, once submerged in the knowledge and passion that comes with this role, I experienced the benefit of the numerous development programmes on offer and I could see the support that the company provides for those who want to progress. My mindset changed and I started to look at Coca-Cola HBC for the longer-term. 

What I enjoy most about working in Coca-Cola HBC is the feeling of being a part of something innovative and exciting. The company never sleeps! There is always a new project to work on, a new product being launched or a new opportunity to develop myself. 

Being a part of a global brand has allowed me to explore what I want in a career and I have never been held back from working towards my goals. I have worked as a Business Developer across Convenience, Away from Home and License Trade channels. While working in these roles I also participated in accelerator development programmes which offered me the leadership skills I needed to progress to a Customer Development Manager role, managing a team of Business Developers. 

To support Business Developers get the most from their role, the Coca-Cola Hellenic Sales Academy was launched; a development programme supporting Business Developer’s throughout their career. Having managed teams who went through the Sales Academy programme, I really appreciate the benefits of the Academy.  Upon joining the company, new employees receive introductory training, learn more about the business, and get an understanding of their role in the Coca-Cola HBC journey.  

In recent years I took another leap. In my current role,  I oversee the Customer Care Centre for the Island of Ireland and the web portal for our online store. Not only was this a move to new responsibilities within Sales, it has given me the opportunity to become a manager of managers. Having completed our ‘Fast Forward’ programme which allows employees to increase their management and leadership potential, I then completed the ‘Leap’ capability development programme and felt prepared to make that career change. The support and trust from my managers, colleagues and my new team made the move an enjoyable one.

For anyone thinking of applying to be a Business Developer in Coca-Cola HBC, I would say that it is 100% the right company for you if you want to develop your career and constantly challenge yourself to be innovative and creative. It is the first step in a strong career path where your development will always be a priority.
