PROSPERITY AGREEMENT
In February 2020, we became the first company in Northern Ireland to sign our second with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA). This Agreement encourages organisations to improve their overall environmental performance in ways that create prosperity and wellbeing.
PLATINUM STATUS IN THE BITC NI ENVIRONMENTAL BENCHMARKING SURVEY
Coca-Cola HBC have retained Platinum Status in the 2023 Business in the Community Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Awards. The survey benchmarks organisation against sectors peers based on environmental management and performance in key areas, as well as the extent to which environmental business practices have been embedded within corporate strategies.
GOLD CERTIFICATION FOR WATER STEWARDSHIP
Our production facility at Knockmore Hill Lisburn has received gold standard certification to the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard demonstrating good water stewardship practices and performance.
We were rated the world's most sustainable beverage company in the 2023 Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the seventh time, and for the 13th consecutive year are among the top three beverage companies globally.
We’ve been included in the DJSI every year since 2008 in recognition of our focus on continuously improving our sustainability performance. Launched in 1999, the DJSI is considered a global benchmark in corporate sustainability.
In May 2022, we received the top “AAA” rating from the MSCI ESG for the eighth year in a row.
MSCI ESG rates companies across the world based on their exposure to industry specific ESG risks and their ability to manage those risks relative to peers.
We have been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series since its set-up in 2000. In the last years, we have been rated with the highest score in the beverage industry.
The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to identify companies that demonstrate strong environmental, social and governance practices measured against globally recognised standards.
Coca-Cola HBC is also on the CDP's A List for our commitment to transparency on climate and water. We joined the small number of companies that have achieved a double-A rating from CDP.
Coca-Cola HBC is also on CDP’s 2023 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard in recognition of our efforts to measure and reduce climate risk within our value chain.
